The metal Brass is typically a yellow colored alloy of copper and zinc. Its existence and history dates back to more than 5000 years from now ! Sculptures belonging to Mauryan dynasty, chola kings and such are a testimony to the high level of workmanship attained by ancient craftsmen.

This popular metal art has its roots in almost all regions of India….be it the Dhokra from the tribal metalsmiths of West Bengal , Jharkhand and Orissa or the Koftagars of Rajasthan , the Naquashi Kaarigars from Kashmir .
